From toy haulers to trucks turned street rods, our Gen V truck cam lineup has an answer for your needs. BTR's Gen V Truck Cam Kit is designed for 2014 and newer GM pickup trucks with the L83 5.3 or L86 6.2 engine. Dyno tests have shown a 70 horsepower gain at the tires with the stage 2 camshaft in a L86 equipped Silverado, so this is a great upgrade to give your truck increased power! As you can see, this is a great bang for the buck upgrade when combined with our DOD delete kit. This cam kit will include the camshaft and a set of GM LT4 valve springs. BTR L83 5.3L DOD DELETE CAM
THE EASIEST WAY TO REMOVE THAT PESKY DOD/AFM! If you own a Gen V L83 (5.3L) equipped truck and want to remove the pesky and issue-prone DOD/AFM system, this camshaft is the easiest ticket to freedom. This grind mimics OEM valve events with a more stable lobe design, and a superior heat treatment. This will not be the camshaft for those looking to increase their peak power numbers. It is the choice for those looking to maintain and preserve the reliability of their Gen V truck platform. This camshaft will require a DOD Delete Kit. Professional installation is recommended as the vehicle's calibration must be adjusted to deactivate the DOD system. Many times, no dyno tuning is required as the valve events have not been altered drastically from OEM levels, simply changed to work with non-DOD components. Consult your tuner for all questions and concerns surrounding the computer's DOD deactivation. THIS CAM IS NOT DESIGNED FOR A 6.2L

These one piece precision formed pushrods are constructed from SAE 4130 chromoly tubing, centerless ground to exacting tolerances, and case hardened to Rc 60. Beware of competitors who say their pushrods are made from the same 4130 material, because some are not.
